No USB to Serial Connection (Build 3188)

I've been looking through the board to see if anyone has a full answer for this. I'm using Parallels build 3188 and a Keyspan USA-19 HS USB to Serial adapter. It seemed to work in build 3186 but not in 3188.
It comes up (and is checked) in the bottom right of the windows OS but when I bring up Keyspan's serial assistant in windows it says that no adapters are found.
Can anyone offer help with this or is there a way to put version 3186 back on my iMac?

uninstall 3188 tools from your vm. then use the uninstall in the 3188 dmg file and then install 3186 from the 3186 dmg. then install 3186 tools in your vm
