Non-standard Boot Camp Partition?

I'm sorry if this is a repeat, but I used the search function and could not find anything related to this in the first 2 or 3 pages.

1. Mac OS 10.4.10
2. Parallels 3.0 5160.0
3. Mac Pro (desktop) Running 2 Intel Xeon Dual Core processors
4. 5 GB 667 Mhz DDR2 FB-DIMM
5. 2 250 GB Hard Disk Drives (232 in reality), 1 FireWire 800 250 GB and one USB2.0 40 GB Drive
6. I am attempting to use a boot camp configuration
7. I did not upgrade from Beta
8. I just installed Parallels today
9. I don't believe Parallels tools are installed
10. I followed all the on screen instructions and PDF suggestions on how to get this running (though I couldn't find the exact chapter the error message tells me to reference).

11. As far as weird stuff is concerned, my XP just randomly decided to start failing for a while (I think it had something to do with me plugging my keyboard in somewhere else, as that is all I had changed). I did manage to salvage it with an XP Install disc (not mine) disk repair tool, and it runs fine now.

The error I'm getting is as follows:
More than one Windows partitions are found. This is not a standard Boot Camp configuration. Please refer to the Parallels Desktop for Mac User Guide, Using Boot Camp Windows XP Installation chapter for instructions on how to configure Parallels virtual machine in case of a non-standard Boot Camp configuration on your Macintosh computer

As far as I know, I've only ever installed XP once on this machine, on a NTFS-formatted internal hard drive.
 
This is a bug in parallels

I have the same issue, unmount all your external FireWire and USB drives, DISCONNECT THEM (they can't be connected and mounted), then start parallels/BootCamp. Then reconnect.

I have already reported this as a bug with the built-in report form. Hope this helps.
 
Which side is not loading up your mouse or keyboard? Parallels?
If so, you will have to install Parallels tools.
Do this from the Actions -> menu, if you cannot do it as you don't have an auto-login, bounce over to BC and set it to auto-login until the tools are installed, then set it back from either Parallels or BC.

Your keyboard/mouse problem should go away.

Okay, I installed Parallels tools (at least I think that's what it means when the menu option changes to "Cancel Parallels Tools installation," also, it brings up the Parallels Tools Initialization overlay when it boots up in Parallels), and I still can't use my keyboard or mouse in Parallels. They work in fine in Boot Camp, still.

I am using the standard issue Apple Extended Keyboard and a Micro Innovations Wireless Laser Mouse.
 
I installed it from the actual "Administrator" account, using the auto-login trick. It gave me the message saying that I should be logged in to install, I clicked the button telling it to install, and then my "Install Parallels Tools" option was replaced with "Cancel Parallels Tools install." I never saw a progress bar or anything.

What's bizarre is that I still have keyboard control in the BIOS. When the parallels system is booting up, I can hold F8 and get to Safe Mode. I tried to install Parallels Tools in safe mode, but the option was grayed out.
