I'm trying to install Office XP Professional and when I open it in Parallels I get the message:

Boot from Hard Drive ... Failed
Boot from CD/DVD-Rom Drive ... Failed
Boot from Floppy Drive...
Non-System Disk or Disk Error
Replace and Press Any Key When Ready
 
hi,
it seems no any bootable media at your VM. Whether you installed some guest OS there? If not then you need to do it at first i.e. get some Windows OS installation media, insert it into CD/DVD drive, startup VM and proceed with WIndows installation wizard steps.
 
Confused

Does that mean that we have to buy a copy of the windows OS in order to install it on the computer? (dumb question, I know, but...)
