Hi,
Has anyone been able to install Norton Internet Security 2009 or 2010 onto a Parallels Windows 7 virtual machine?
I can't get the install program to run - just disappears.
I spoke with Norton's livechat and had the following response:
[21:18] IN045184@suth.com says: We are not able to update the Norton program.
[21:20] Helen Page says: What do you mean?
[21:23] Helen Page says: all done
[21:24] IN045184@suth.com says: I belive the program is not compatible on the virtual machine due to MAC OS.
[21:25] Helen Page says: the virtual machine is completely independent of the mac os - 99% of windows software will run - are you saying it is not compatible with the Parallels application then?
[21:25] IN045184@suth.com says: Let me confirm.
[21:27] IN045184@suth.com says: Norton 2010 is not compatible with the virtual machine and we cannot update on the computer.
If this is the case then does anyone have any recommendations for other firewall/anti-virus software?
