I have Parallels on my MACBOOK and running the Mortgage software CALYX POINT 5.3.

I have to export a credit report into POINT from a website and when i click on EXPORT i get an error message telling me that..
An Error Occurred during the Import Update Process
Error Number: 1002
Error Source: LOSInterface.LOSIface.UpdateImportInterface
Description: A problem has occurred getting the Point Interface template path.

Please verify that POINT is installed on your computer and working correctly.

I know its installed cause I'm running POINT.

is there a pathway error or maybe cause i'm using PARALLELS there is an issue?
Anyone else have this issue or know how i can resolve this?
ANY help is appreciated.

I assume that that error came from your Mortgage software?

The first thing I would do is contact the people that wrote your Point software and figure out what that error means. Depending on what it is it may or may not have anything to do with the fact that it is running in a VM.

My guess is that is isn't installed correctly.
 
Well...the message came from the website that i download (export) the credit reports.

I installed POINT and it runs perfectly fine so far so I think it might be something else.

any other thoughts?
 
I'm a little confused. You're running POINT and its own error message says to check that you're running POINT??

I'm also confused because you're talking about exporting something into something else, but that sounds like it would be importing. Some of this depends upon which side of the fence you're on, and which one the vendor wants you to be on, so perhaps this is just a "direction" problem?

Anyway, it's unclear what is failed etc. Let's back up. Have you run other apps w/o a problem? Can you run say Internet explorer and surf the web with no problem? Do they use java and maybe you have it turned off? Can you download a file from a site (not the one you're trying to export) "by hand"?
 
All my other apps work fine.
Heres what happens ... I'm in INTERNET EXPLORER on a CREDIT REPORT website. When i have accessed a credit report and click "EXPORT" ... a pop up window opens and asks me which mortgage software I use on my computer. I select POINT because thats the software i use.
I click EXPORT CREDIT REPORT and another popup window in IExplorer pops up and gives me that error messaging

Thats my dilemma. IE thinks that Point isnt installed even though ive been running and using POINT for quite some time.
 
Maybe that you need to update your PATH environment variable, with the directory of where POINT resides, but that sounds too simple.
