Notification centre support for PD8

I was excited about the following point i saw in the PD8 press release:

Consolidated notifications – Integration of Windows notifications into the Mac OS X Notification Center makes it easy to stay updated on Windows virtual machine operations

Have i understood this wrong, or should there be notifications (say notification of an email from Outlook 2007 - windows) to appear in the Notification centre for Mac?

I was with tech support for more than an hour, he was in disagreement.

Can someone provide some clarity on this? Are you able to see windows notifications in the Notification Centre in OS X?

If you run Outlook 2013 Preview on Windows 8 you also get these toast notifications in Windows 8. So running Outlook 2013 will make them appear in the Mac Notification area also.

As mentioned this only works with Windows 8 Toast Notifications, which both Desktop and 'Modern UI' apps can take advantage of under Win 8.

Im actually not sure what the press release by Parallels meant when they said

I thought Parallels may be able to tap in to the email alert popup in windows outlook to show it in the Notification centre in OSX. At least thats what i gathered by that line.

i guess I will have to wait for Win8
 
Does this require Coherence?

I have PD8 with Win8 and Office 2013 (RTM) and the Toast notifications from Outlook don't come over to my Mac.
 
This seems to have been fixed (in my case) in the latest Parallels update. I now get Win8 notifications in Notification Center when PD8 is running full screen.

Annoyingly enough, it seems Lync 2013 doesn't use Win8 Toast, so the main reason I need this doesn't seem to work :(
