Opening VM on Windows XP

My Macbook is broken. I have sent it out for repairs, but I was able to backup the hard drive. I have an Windows XP machine that I am using while my Macbook is repaired. Is there any way to open the VM image on XP to get to the files inside?

Unfortunately, there does not seem to be the way opening parallels .pvm (or .hdd to that extend) files on the Windows side. The only possible way out of this would be getting a Mac and extracting necessary data from the virtual machine using Parallels.
