Optmimum RAM setting

I've just installed 2GB RAM into my MacBook and wondered if anyone could adbise me of the optimum Paralells RAM setting.

It depends on your Guest OS. For example: for Windows XP 768mb of RAM should be enough.

I haven't spent time to compare performances with different RAM amount but with Windows XP Pro SP2, 768MB of RAM (out of the 2GB I have on my macbook) makes everything fly including beasts such as Visual Studio 2005 and Carbide.c++ without impacting the mac applications.
 
500 mb
and 30 gb for hard disk
Win XP laptops used to be sold with just 500 mb memory

less is more
put all data in shared folders
