orphan folder on macos desktop - ^=^windows_drive_letter^.^/

    After upgrading to Mac OS 10.5.3 The folder on my desktop that pointed to my bootcamp partition was renamed "^=^windows_drive_letter^.^/" and is now empty. I have not used bootcamp for a long time except through parallels. Any ideas?
