OS/2 eCS 1.2R Parallels mouse driver with latest SNAP versions hangs during boot

Host OS:
Ubuntu 8.04
Parallels 2232

Guest:
eCS 1.2R

I discovered these instructions that lead me to eliminating my PRLMOUS.SYS trouble I reported:

However, using either/both snapse-ecs-3.1.8 and snapse491.exe to install SNAP, both never boot into WPS again.

It boots to the SNAP registration banner text, blacks the screen, an never goes into PM mode for the WPS.

Is there a further suggestion needed than the updating of the PRLMOUS.SYS device driver necessary?
