OS Image bigger than actual VM

Guys, now i have an XP install that's running happily but is now up to 15Gig on the disc.

Treesize Pro reports the Windows drive inc PageFile is only about 7Gig.

I've tried compressing the image and i have also cloned the image but everything is coming out to 15Gig .

Idea's ? TIA

How did you compress vm?

I went to edit VM then clicked Hard Drive and then Advanced and then Compress
