OSX OS and App Update Manangement via PMM

Hey everyone,
I am new to the forum and was hoping to get some guidance based on what other users are doing. Currently we have Centrify and PMM 4.x for managing OSX devices. I am trying to figure out the best method for managing OS updates (El Capitan for example) using PMM. The only thing I can think of is to create a package that executes the softwareupdate command on a user's machine for the specific update.

Any thoughts?

FYI In a few weeks we will be releasing v4.5. It will include OS X updates/patch management functionality. It will greatly simply the process of keeping your Macs up to date.
