outlook 2013 email not showing up in mac notification center

anyone have any ideas why my emails are not showing up in my notification center?

my current settings are all setup in my mac preferences under notifications
- banners
- show notifications on lock screen
- show in notification center - 5 recent items
- badge app icon is checked
- and play sound for notifications is checked
