Hi,
I have found a solution to the palm hotsync isue for users with another PC in the same network. I think this will work in all parallels versions.
Use LAN hotsync, which bypasses USB on the machine you are syncing with.
To setup do this:
1. Set hotsync in the Parallels VM to Network. To do this choose network from the hotsync menu, and check the tcpip settings in the setup, network tab of hotsync.
2. On the palm device (mine is a treo 650) go to the hotsync application and select LANsync, and put the lan settings from paallels into the spaces provided in primary pc setup on the palm device.
3. On the other PC on the LAN, just install hotsync, and sync the palm with it.
The palm tells the syncing PC the LAN settings, and it should sync over the network.
I realise that this will only solve the issue for a subset of users, but some is better that none.
Oh, and before you ask, I dont think you can use the Mac partition as the connecting host, as I dont believe the Mac Hoysync support LAN sync, correct me of i'm wrong.
Good luck
Paul
