I just got this new phone made by palm and cant get the usb to work, it recognizes it but gives this message

"Generic RNDIS (Prototype--Remember to change idvendor)"

Windows recognized once and the "New" hardware detected icon appeared in the lower left but , the TREO soft says the phone is not being detected.

Any ideas?

First, make sure you are using ActiveSync 4.2 or above. Second - Generic RNDIS is normal. That's just what the USB chip in the Treo calls itself.
