Paralells screws up my video driver in boot camp

Ok. I did an install of Vista on a new internal sata hd. Windows recognized all my hardware (incl. the 7300 gt video card) etc. Next I rebooted into OS X and booted my new vista install inside of Parallels. I installed the tools and everything was hunky-dory.

The next time I restarted into Vista via bootcamp. I noticed my color-depth was set to 16-bit. When I went to change the resolution, I noticed the video driver was still set to the Parallels video driver. I couldn't get Vista to re-recognize the 7300 GT and I couldn't get the parallels tools to run when I was booted natively in Vista.

I'm not sure if I will still have full support of my 3d accelleration in boot camp and if I will have to restart into OS X to up my virtual video RAM..??

(I.E. is the Parallels video driver supposed to stay when rebooted natively via Boot Camp?)
 
For other reasons, I decided to reformat and reinstall vista.

I have restarted into vista and then rebooted back into OSX, ran parallels and shutdown to restart again several times. I can't get bootcamp to re-recognize my 7300 GT, it just shows the parallels video driver.
