Parallel desktop won't show windows...?

Hi,

After installing PD on my computer (I was using Boot Camp) everything worked fine. Now when I open PD windows won't come on only a black screen within the window. If I reboot to Boot Camp everything works fine. Does anyone know why this has happened?

Is it showing any error messages if you let it sit like that for a little bit?

Uhoh, perhaps your boot.ini file got messed up. Are you familiar with repairing those? It sounds like Parallels might be trying to Boot from the BootCamp config.

Have you tried creating a new configuration?

The wierd thing is is that it has worked fine up until now. I'm not familiar with repairing files. If I was to create a new configuration would I just reinstall the parallels software?

Nope, go File -> New Configuration (or Virtual Machine as the case may be, I forget). Just point it at the same BootCamp partition.

When I do this it says "cannot open boot camp because it is already open."

Mount your BootCamp partition via Disk Utility, that might be your problem.
