    Hello,
I've been trying to fix my Parallel for the past year. I deinstalled it, downgraded to 12, went back to 13. Since I installed / upgraded to 13, it is totally unstable.
It freezes all the time. I can open MS Outlook or Word or Excel or PPT, but I cannot perform certain functions like "save as" or view a PDF.
Sometimes I cannot open Windows Explorer.
Someone from Parallel also looked at it remotely, it goes a bit faster, but the instability is still part of the system.
I cannot work with such a system.
Every time there is an issue, I google it, and temporarily fix it, until something else happens and freezes the windows. I did the SFC, the DISM updates through the CMD, and I also updated settings of the VM, unticked the box for trimming.
Something happened between Parallel 12 and 13. Please help.
    Thanks,
    DT

Hi @DavidT25 , if the issue started happening only after installing version 13, can you please try to install version 12 once again and check if that resolves the issue?

Hello Arun, thanks for looking into this thread. I did that, but that didn't help, so I'm back with 13. Now what I do, is simply wait, until the software stabilizes. Maybe as I a Mac user, I'm not used to Windows' built-in instability. I can wait 10 minutes, and then the software is good. So weird. Thanks again Arun.

Hi @DavidT25, could you please open Windows Task Manager in a time when you experiencing the slow response and take a look at what a process eats CPU? You may disconnect if you have connected external USB devices to the virtual machine directly(Devices -> External devices -> uncheck USB). And then, under Optimization, set Resource usage as "No limit' to check the stability of the virtual machine.
