Hi all,
I'm trying to create a virtual machine in Parallels 3.0 based on a Boot Camp 1.4 partition. Although I am actually using Windows Vista, I chose to create a Windows XP VM, b/c the Boot Camp option is not available for Vista (read somewhere in this forum that it does nontheless work with Vista).
Anyway, having created the VM, an error message shows up when I start the VM. This error message says (translated from the German version of Parallels):
"There is more than one Windows partition on this hard disc. This does not seem to be a standard Boot Camp installation. Please consult the Parallels user manual on how to configure your Windows XP VM for use with a non-standard Boot Camp installation."
The user manual does not say anything helpful other than "consult the FAQ", but the FAQ does not say anything at all.
Anyone with the same problem or an idea how to fix this? My Boot Camp intallation is actually quite standard. I did not do anything specific other than chosing a bigger partition size as originally offered by Boot Camp. But that's it...
Would appreciate any help!
Cheers,
zero
