Yes, it is always better to install Windows integrated with the latest service pack.

If you buy Windows XP from a computer store then SP2 should have already been integrated.

what I meant was that I could not get Windows XP installed without a slipstream version of XP without XP2. It hung and crashed every time. If you are tryibng to install XP without a SP2 slipstream, forget it. It won't work.
