Parallels 4 makes program unusable!

I use Micrografx Picture Publisher in Windows XP and it worked fine in version 3, but now it doesn't work. Keys that worked don't work now. Menus that worked are now unavailable. Surely once XP is running, everything that runs on XP should work?
 
Version 4 key strokes

Checking again I have discovered a work round for the clone tool (similar to Photoshop lift and stamp), but before, holding down the shift key allowed you to move the stamp area while the source area remained static. Now this is only possible using ribbon menu which takes longer and more key strokes. The shift key route was simple - and worked under version 3!
So the action is 'Hold down SHIFT-Hold down Left mouse button-Move mouse'. Is there a way to set this up and why am I having to do this when it all worked properly before?
