Parallels 7 Windows 7 Share

Can someone help me out I installed windows 7 ultimate on my log in and ran all updates works good I selected during install to share with other users hoping to avoid any problems so logged into another user pointed Parallels to the share folder and it worked shut down and logged back into my user and got the following msg

The virtual machine is corrupted.

The virtual machine cannot be used because its files are corrupted.

Was a little scarred clicked remove and pointed back to the share folder and was happy o see it back but now when I try to log in to another user same message.

I checked permission and everyone is set to read & write not sure what is going on but does not seem correct
 
if it appears only using one user account - it may be permissions issue - try to move it to User /Documents/ Parallels.
If it appears always - try repair WIndows installation
 
Ok If I move it to my user or another user you will have permission problems Parallels I placed the Windows 7.pvm file is share so I could share with all users.

When I set it up on my MAC user Id everything worked great so I went to my wife's MAC ID and pointed Parallels to Windows 7.pvm in the share folder everything worked then I shut down Parallels and logged back into my user ID and it said "The virtual machine is corrupted. The virtual machine cannot be used because its files are corrupted." so I clicked remove and pointed my log in back Windows 7.pvm in the share folder and it worked I then logged in my wife's ID started parallels and got the same corrupted message so did the same thing removed and reinstalled it worked but when I logged back into mine the same message it seems I can only run one copy of windows 7 I would hate to have a second copy of windows 7 just for another user.

Correct me if i"m wrong but won't it take a long terminal commands to have her use Windows 7.pvm placed in my user documents folder?? That is why they put it in the share folder yes?
 
I was suggesting to move it to the user folder in order to check if it helps - just on temporary basis.

I need to know do you shut down your virtual machine in a proper way - do to open start menu and click "shut down Windows" or you just quit Parallels Desktop? If you simply quit it - it is natural that your Windows gets corrupted every time.
 
ok moving the .pvm file to my user id on mac and pointing my wife's parallels to that file she can now log in to and it works and you are correct you need to proper shut down windows 7 each time so the other user can log in to windows 7 so now can switch users and login I apologize for my comment above I'm surprised it works with the sharing across mac users
