Parallels 8 "Check for Updates" erroneously reports up-to-date when new version is ou

Yesterday, mid-afternoon I got an announcement of a new update to Parallels 8 but I wasn't at a good point to install it, so clicked "Remind me later." When I had time a couple of hours later, I just went to Parallels | Check for Updates, and it came back with a message that Parallels was already at the latest version. A minor inconvenience, as I just went out and downloaded the latest from Parallels, but still it should work properly.

I too was wondering what was going on here, so I chatted with the folks at Parallels. They said that the new build has bugs and should not be installed. I presume the update menu will show the new build when it's bug-free.
