Upgraded(?) to Mavericks. Parallels wouldn't start.
Downloaded and installed the free update to Parallels 8.
Parallels and Windows 8 started, but a user name and password were required. Had no idea what they were. Searched the knowldegebase.
Followed the instructions at http://kb.parallels.com/en/114193
Got to step 5 and received the message: "Unable to open new session in this virtual machine. Make sure the latest version of Parallels Tools is installed in this virtual machine and it has finished booting."
I presumed that the newest version of Parallels included Tools, or is that a separate download and install?
Tried restarting virtual machine from the menu. Nothing happened.
How do I get past this user name/password issue for Windows 8?
