I'm very disappointed. I bought a product which you can't even declare as a beta version. There are great innovations for the mac version, but i think the market for Linux is to small to invest time in it. Next time paralles should say it is an alpha version and give it away for free.

Ubuntu 6.10
- unacceptable low speed on any acceleration level
- no userspace USB support
- only RAW sound output to /dev/dsp (what about alsa, arts, gstreamer)
- compile errors (due to symlink sh isn't linking to bash, and no, changing the symlink isn't a solution)
- modules are not loaded at boot time (init-v is replaced by upstart in Ubuntu)
- no localizations
- no gtk2 version
- no userspace USB support
- only RAW sound output to /dev/dsp (what about alsa, arts, gstreamer)
- no support for 64bit Ubuntu hosts
- no dependencies in the .deb package (manual installation of needed packets)
- no drag&drop, no paste© (across host and guest)
- really buggy and slow folder sharing
- crashes sometimes while host machine is under heavy load
- random crashes (IMHO a problem with qt3 program in a gnome environment)
- no acpi support
- no OpenGL and/or DirectX support
Ubuntu 7.04
- may be all of the above, but i'm not able to test it
- Kernel incompatibility
- i bet there is no implementation for the new 2.6-kernel virtualization modules
