I have been wondering this for a long time and have searched without any qualified answers.

When using bootcamp as your Parallels partition, i have noticed that different drivers need to be used when booting using Parallels for bootcamp. This is obvious as there are different drivers for graphics cards, etc.

Does this slow down my bootcamp partition having to load up a new driver every time I boot into windows, or does it do something differently that I am not aware of? Would it be better to have 2 different installs rather than using the bootcamp partition? The only reason I want to use the bootcamp partition is for conserving disk space.

    Thanks

It does not seem to when I boot from Boot Camp, and if you check the system profiler only the non-Parallels related drivers load when you use Boot Camp. The Parallels drivers seem to only load when booting into Parallels.
