Parallels causing CastBlaster troubles?

New to Mac & Parallels, using build 3120 on iMac Core 2 Duo, 2Gb with XP Home (1Gb allocated).

I have installed CastBlaster 0.80 under Parallels and it has serious issues not present on real PC. Sounds play for a while and everything is working then the sound suddenly stops and many of the display features 'freeze', despite all buttons still being operable.

Am pursuing with app developer also, but has anyone seen similar behaviours?
 
Also...

I should add that restarting the VM often causes stuttering on Windows shutdown, startup sounds.
 
Further info

More experimentation has shown that CB works flawlessly while Parallels is used in "OS Window" mode. When I switch to "Coherence" mode, the problems start, and even persist over reboots of the Windows VM. Eventually it seems to come right, however.
