parallels-config error on Mandriva

Hello all,
I'm running Mandriva 2008.1. I cannot run the parallels-config script succesfully. Here is my output:

Compiling Parallels Workstation 2.2 drivers...
Drivers have been compiled successfully.
Installing drivers...
Starting drivers...
Loading Parallels Workstation 2.2 hypervisor ...
FATAL: Error inserting hypervisor (/lib/modules/2.6.24.5-desktop-2mnb/kernel/drivers/misc/parallels/hypervisor.ko): Invalid module format
Can not load hypervisor module.
Parallels Workstation drivers were successfully configured
and compiled but cannot be started (insmod command failed).
Run 'dmesg' command for more information.

When I look at dmesg, here is what I get:
hypervisor: version magic '2.6.24.5-2mnbcustom SMP mod_unload 686 ' should be '2.6.24.5-desktop-2mnb SMP mod_unload 686 '
...and here is the output of uname -r:
2.6.24.5-desktop-2mnb

I've tried installing 2-2.2222, 2-2.2234, and 2.2-2226. These kernel issues are always the downfall of commercial linux applications.
Any help would be tremendously appreciated!

From what I've read online about the many users who have problems with the parallels-config script, I doubt that the problem has anything to do with Mandriva 2008.1. This is most likely a kernel issue, so I would appreciate a more thorough reply than 'well, you're just using the wrong OS'.
