three VMs that run fine on newer machines all crash on Catalina on my MacBook Pro 2015 15" machine. i7 chip, 16gb RAM, mid 2015. They run for a few minutes, then the screen starts flashing, goes blank, changes to blue and black, then just flashes until I power the Mac down. This is true for all three of my VMs -- a Catalina, a Windows 10 and an Ubuntu, all of which run fine on a MacBook pro 2017 13" and a MacBook pro 2019 16".
Ran first aid on internal and external ssd's, they're both perfect. ssd is samsung t5, usb-c to usb connection. would this happen because VMs were created on incompatible machines? Is that possible? A test would be to create a new VM.
No, it doesn't work when I create a new VM, either. Parallels just doesn't work on this MacBook pro 2015 15".
