Parallels Desktop 4.0 - Two problems

1. I recently installed Parallels Desktop 4.0, but when I attempt to use Windows, the cursor freezes. It seems to recognize the keyboard, but the mouse is totally unresponsive.

2. When I attempt to install Parallels Tools, the Cancel/Continue screen pops up as usual, but nothing seems to happen after that.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
 
1. Try this KB article
2. Try launching it from image directly -- click Devices -> CD-DVD Rom -> Connect image and specify path HD/Library/Parallels/Tools/prl-tools-win.iso. Then open My Computer -> CD-ROM (Parallels Tools) and run setup.exe.
