I have a big problem with Java (last version 7.11). When i try to open every Java application console is loading and shut down my virtual machine (back to OSX) with error like this:

I have the same problem. The VM dies when I try to run a java based application. The problem does not exist for Parallels 7. Windows 7 32 or 64 bit doesn't matter. The only thing that works is disabling hardware acceleration. However that means a lot of other applications are unable to run. It also makes the Windows appear more sluggish. I upgraded from Parallels 7 to be able to use Coherent mode, which didn't work in Parallels 7, only to end up running my VM with disabled acceleration in Parallels 8.

    Fixed, I think

I got the advice to set the boot flag under "Options - Hardware - Boot Order" to
"video.no_depth_load=1", and it appears to fix the problem for me. It's worth testing.
