Parallels Desktop For Mac Black Screen Problem

So every time I start up parallels desktop for mac it goes to a black screen and doesn't change at all. When I go to click on the black screen the program pretty much freezes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, but that didn't fix it. Here is a picture of what is happening. https://imgur.com/x8CEcUh

Thank you SOOO much for posting this! I have been through several different troubleshooting steps recommended by other threads, and nothing worked, but this did! I thought I had just lost everything I had in Windows. Bless you!
