Parallels "disapears" in coherence and crystal mode

Hello together!

3 weeks ago i've decided to change from my old windows plattform completely to macintosh.
I'm working as php-programmer and my favorite ide (netbeans) runs very well under mac os x.

My new macbook was available in town where i've tested the trail version of parallels since 7 week without any big problems (i've only installed windows xp to see if it runs. the speed of the c2d cpu and the 2gb ram seems to be a bit to low to run xp in perfect speed).

2 Days ago my new imac (27", 4gb ram (now 8), i7) arrived. On this machine i want to use parallels more often so i've tested it a bit more.

Since yesterday everything worked fine but yesterday evening the problem appears at first on the macbook:

After a normal reset/restart of the virtuell machine the crystal OR coherence mode crashes the complete vissible application. It is running in background (its shown by top and the taskmanager) but no GUI is left.

Because i've tested also vmware on the macbook (its already deleted but i'm not sure if nothing was left) i decided to reinstall the complete machine (nothing important was on it).

While installing the macbook i've started the iMac und THE SAME ISSUE happens on it, too. (???)

The virtuell machine was in standby. It has started normal but after the first click on the crystal based menu it disapears (the tasks are in background).

A normal restart of the machine works until coherence or crystal are activated.


Does anybody have a solution for this issue? The window mode is not useable for me, so crystal has to run before i'll buy the product :-(.

the complete icon disapears. I know the mode very well, it is REALLY amazing and works normally very well.
exactly the same happens in coherence mode. it seems like the complete GUI crashes.
"prl_vm_app" runs but i can't access any program or navigation element. only a second start of the app brings it in window mode to the desktop. the next switch to crystal or coherence starts the game from the begining.

as said before, this happens on two different machines which are only in the same network, nothing else is similar.
 
Could you please make Report a Problem from Help menu while the application in Window mode and write the nuber here. Thank you, Alexander.

voiceover seems to be turned off (must be the default value, I've never used it before), turning it on doesn't change anything.

caused by the descriped problem I can not find any error number because the application (only the gui) completely goes away without any further message. a restart of the gui application shows the normal desktop within seconds, it seems to run in the background. all applications which were started before are still running, there seems to be no startup procedure (it takes less than two seconds to get back to the windowed desktop after starting the gui of parallels).

i know from other situations (a week a ago i've crashed the application accidentally by forcing an unmount of a partition on my macbook) that your application creates a error-report and after the next restart it wants to submit this by email.
this does not happen in this case. coherence any crystal are removing the gui mainly after clicking on the startmenu (of my clean installed xp v-machine), sometimes it happens after starting an application from it. in every case the start menu was used in the same second or a few seconds before. a running application (i'm currently using keepass for my passwords) runs perfect.

Hi,

Thank you for you description of the problem, but i need a report.

Please send us a Problem Report from a Help menu. It is very important. "Report a Problem" contains all needed information: logs, version numbers and other important information. Just launch the application and select Report a Problem from a Help menu.

If you cant send us a report just told me what Parallels Desktop version are you using? Is it 5308 build?
