Parallels fails to Launch/ Mac go Slow

On the 22nd, my system just went goofy. I was trying to go from full screen to Mac screen and the VM locks up. I tried in vain to quit Parallels but no luck. I tried to Force Quit, it says Parallels is not responding so I try to force quit. Parallels goes away in the force quit dialog box but not the task bar....system goes real slow now....I try to reboot but ultimately have to hold the power button (it's an mac/intel mini with 1Gig). Now Parallels never completly launches. The parallel Icon jumps up and down but no dice...can't force quit, cant kill -9 (pid for parallels). I've uninstalled and reinstalled a zillion times 1970. Getting sick of it now. $29 pay for incedent hasn't got me any closer yet....the first 30 min. phone call was .....t.....e.....rr....i....b....l......e....... Hoping someone here has some ideas....when i unistall and reinstall it doesn't ask me for the registration key so I don't think it's comletely installing......any ideas? HELP
 
Uninstall Parallels. Reboot the Mac. Install Parallels. Reboot the Mac. Try to start Parallels from the Applications/Parallels folder. If that doesn't work, your OS is probably corrupted or you have installed a third party product that is interfering with Parallels.

If you want to be extra sure, spotlight parallels and trash all the directories (except your VM) before reinstalling. This will cause it to request your key again. Note that trashing the files in those directories in the finder isn't enough. You have to delete the directories.
 
Tried that...no luck....When installing Parallels again, should It request the key during install or during the first run?

...Parallels support came through...seems as though a 2 gig stick I had sitting in the usb port had some how gotten MacOS's attention in the wrong kinda way...after removing the device parallels reinstalled and ran correctly...who'd a thunk?
