I have Parallels 13 running windows 10 on top of High Sierra. When I put my mac to sleep each night (I never turn her off) I have noticed the back of the iMac is warm even hours later - the CPU and fan are still going but the iMac is asleep. The culprit is Parallels. How is it even possible that my iMac is alssep yet Parallels is taking up CPU cycles? And how do I prevent this other than manually sleeping Parallels each time I'm done with it? Ideally I want to treat Parallels like any other program - have it open in the background and use it when I need to. Just that when I put my iMac to sleep I want it to be firmly asleep and not making its CPU and fan out doing gosh knows what with Parallels open. Any ideas?
