I've got a dodgy ethernet cable, and occasionally when I move my laptop around the cable loses connection.
Intermittently, this hoses the whole host OS (10.5.8). I can't open new applications, I can't close the ones that are open. Most things that try to use the network hang upon network access.
At this point, my only resort is a force restart. Any suggestions other than the obvious to get a new ethernet cable? (Or give Parallels the boot)
