I currently do mobile development for both iOS and Android. I am looking into getting the new 14" Macbook Pro with the M1 Max. Ideally, I'd like to load up Parallels on the Macbook Pro and also do windows development via Visual Studio. I don't want to shell out another $600 to buy a 2TB internal SSD for the Macbook, so I was thinking of just running the Windows VM on an external SSD instead. Does anyone have any experience this type of configuration? Most of my development is done on VS for Mac, but I do also some backend work in .NET (hence Parallels).
