I have the annual subscription to Parallels Pro that just expired. Can I downgrade to Desktop with no additional fee or I should buy it on general terms?

    Hello Chandra,

Please use the link provided below to download Parallels Desktop 19.

    1. Quit Parallels Desktop by right-clicking on the Parallels Desktop icon on the dock and selecting "Quit".
    2. Open your "Applications" folder and drag the Parallels Desktop icon into the "Trash".
    3. Empty the "Trash".
    4. Reboot your Mac.
    5. Download the build of Parallels Desktop 19 from this link: https://download.parallels.com/desktop/v19/19.4.1-54985/ParallelsDesktop-19.4.1-54985.dmg
    6. Double-click on the installer to install Parallels Desktop 19.
When prompted to upgrade to latest build Parallels Desktop 20, close the window to continue the Parallels Desktop installation and not to upgrade to latest version.

Unfortunately, we don't have an option of downgrading a license. We see that your subscription is in grace period you can renew it or purchase a Parallels Desktop 12 Standard Upgrade as you already have a Parallels Desktop 10 key.

This is bull, Pay $99 a year and own nothing? You just lost a customer.

I got the same problem as yours. If you have the series of PD12, you can download PD12 and activate it again. The policy of parallels really sucks!!

I have been considering buying Pro for a year just because I need virtualization support but only for a short period.
Thank you for giving me a strong argument against buying Pro!
I must search for alternatives :(

Same with me if I had known I would have never gone with a subscription I guess tanks for nothing I have paid for Parallels Desktop versions 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13.

I guess no one cares what you have done in the past to support them or how much you have invested, well thanks for not much!!
