I have installed Parallels 3.0 on my MacBook Pro (Leopard) and all I get is the message that "Parallels has quite unexpectedly" call for help! What now???

Does it persist? How did you go about installing 3.0? What is your system set-up? We really can't help with something that vague.

Sorry to be vague!
I had 2.5 installed previously. I upgraded to 3.0 seemingly successfully. Then the dialogue stating that "Parallels quite unexpectedly". I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it only to get the same response. It will not run. I am running a MacBookPro with leopard OS. What else can I provide you to help? Dal wahl

Parallels Quitting / Not Running
I too have been unable to get Parallels to run following install (initial not upgrade).
Config: MB Pro 2.16, 3Gb, OS X 10.5.1, Parallels Desktop 3.0 build 4128.0

Unable to launch PD for Mac following install
I have a MacBook Pro/Leopard with 2GB RAM and approximately 100GB free disc space.
I had successfully been running PD 3.0 under Leopard when I was forced to reinstall the OS to solve a different software problem. As I expected, PD did not run following the OSX reinstall, so I proceeded to reinstall PD 3.0. Unexpectedly, PD failed to start ("... quits unexpectedly"). I've totally uninstalled PD and reinstalled it, but with no success.
Any suggestions?

You should always completely uninstall any versions/builds before upgrading or reinstalling.
What build are you using?
What is the config of your MacBook Pro?
How much RAM have you allocated to your VM?
What OS do you have installed on your VM?
Build 5582 is the latest build and should be installed no matter what system you have.

Unexpected quit RESOLVED
Yup. I uninstalled whatever build was on my Mac, and downloaded/installed Build 5582. Everything seems simpatico now. Sorry to raise a red flag when I should have taken these steps to begin with. Thanks for the assistance.
