I started noticing recently that I sometimes have a problem opening documents that reside in the Mac filesystem. I recall being able to open files without a problem in the not too distant past.
For instance, when I try to open a .ppt file using my resident MS PPT app on my WinXP VM from a file resident on the Mac filesystem I get a invalid path error. I can see the file just fine in Parallels Shared folders (PSF) but I can't open it. I am able to open other .ppt files in a different directory within PSF however. The inconsistency would seem to point to a problem with the individual files themselves, permission issues being the most likely.
Are there any known issues with opening files in PSF? I am using version 5584.
