Parallels slowing my machine

Hi.
I got a macbookpro 2Ghz with 2G memory.
I'm using XP on the Vm with 512mb on the preferences->memory tab and 412mb in the VM configuration itself.
I gave it 604 with 1600 (in the preferences) before but the problem remains - Parallels just gets the whole system to work slow.

Any ideas?
 
This should be posted in the mac forum since it is specific to the mac and not a 'General Question'. You might get a better answer there.
