I maintain an Intel iMac and a MacBook Pro both running OS X Leopard and Parallels 3 with Windows XP Home. For the users' convenience I have both machines set to start the VM as soon as Parallels starts, and to quit Parallels as soon as the VM is shut down. The problem comes when I need to edit the VM configuration, since things are starting and shutting down, I don't have an opportunity to work with the Parallels menu with the VM not running. Does anyone know if there a startup key sequence or trick I can use to start Parallels without the VM starting only on those occasions when I need to change the VM?
