Where can I get the installer for Parallels Tools? Here's why I'm asking:
Using Parallels Transporter, I migrated my XP Pro desktop over to a virtual machine. After the initial boot up, Tools did install and appeared to be working fine.
Due to the large image size from my migrated machine, I started uninstalling the unnecessary applications for my old dual monitor support, my Microsoft Intellipoint mouse and keyboard, etc. I think this might be where my problem started. After uninstalling the mouse/keyboard software, I was no longer able to synchronize my mouse, and was forced to do the CTRL-ALT to get out of my XP window. Opening Parallels Tools showed that option disabled and the check box to enable it was greyed out.
So I decided to uninstall Parallels Tools and then re-install. After the uninstall and reboot, I used the Actions menu to initiate a new install. That was around 4pm on Friday. My machine was up over the entire weekend, and when I come in this morning, nothing has been installed, nor does it appear the install ever started. In the Actions menu, I canceled the install.
Obviously something isn't working right.... Where can I find a stand-alone installer for Parallels Tools that I can initiate manually and observe the installation?
I've STF'd this morning looking for alternatives. I found a few posts regarding an InstallShield folder in the Program Files directory. I checked and I do not have that folder, so I could copy and rename it as part of a suggestion by Stacey at Parallels.
