Parallels Video Driver Install Issues

dtk

Bit poster
I am having MAJOR troubles with Parallels Video Driver since my upgrade to 3.0.

Here's the deal:
The Video Driver is discovered and the install wizard is launched:
ParallelsVideoDriver-1.gif

The process starts ...
ParallelsVideoDriver-2.gif

After a good 90 seconds, I am told that I need to locate the following DLL: prlicd32.dll
ParallelsVideoDriver-3.gif

Try looking that one up on Google. Ever seen only one search return?!?!?

Once I click cancel, I get the notification that there was an error during installation (duh):
ParallelsVideoDriver-4.gif

Without the video driver in place, I get random crashes of the Virtual Machine. One of them even resulted in a BSOD!

Have any of you had this problem? Heard of it? Solved it? HOW??

Hello dtk
You have to reinstall Parallels Tools
Please do the following:

1. Launch your Windows XP.

2. Open Add/Remove programs control panel in Windows and remove Parallels Tools if present.

3. Reboot Windows.

4. Install Parallels Tools using "Install Parallels Tools.." menu item in the Action menu of the Parallels Desktop application.

5. Reboot Windows.

I've followed your instructions but I still crash MS Frontpage anytime I go into preview mode. Any suggestions?
