Parallels will not launch - error umpnpmgr.dll

When I try to start Parallels I get the following error message: This application has failed to start because umpnpmgr.dll was not found. re-installing application may fix the problem.

And then the screen goes black.

I have tried opening in safe mode, as well as normally, and last successful mode but all without success.

I have also tried restarting my Mac which was no help.

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

I am quite desperate.

can't start paralells desktop with my mac

when I try to start paralells desktop, the screen goes black and it says: missing or corrupt: system32/DRIVERS/pci.sys
I don't have the install CDRom,
what should I do?
