Parallels with multiple users on Mac

I have several users on my computer.
I've installed Parallels for one user only without administrator permission. Installation went easily, Windows 10 easily. I have updated to latest versions, but Kaspersky Anti-virus does not install for Windows 10. Is it because it is not an Administrator account? I don't want to give administrator permission. Or is it likely to be some other problem?
Would Microsoft Defender be sufficient for a single user without Administrator permission?
Or should I have installed Parallels in my Administrator account?
If I install Kaspersky for Mac, should that be done in the Administrator account?

Hello @Ivan01,
Please let us know if there is an error message when you tried installing Kaspersky.
 
My history is thus: First attempt to install, had to run additional updates (which I did), Second attempt it invited me to add a port (which I did). Third time is said there might be virus and gave me along list of Kaspersky tools that might be useful - no idea which one would be appropriate. Fourth time, it gave the same list. This mornings attempt said you must restart and the software will load on restart. I restarted and no error messages arose. So now how can I check to see that it actually was installed?
 
An incidental, but probably significant note. Between 4 and 5 try, I quit both Windows 10 and Parallels. Both were started fresh for the 5 try.

Hi IvanO1,

I understand that you have installed Parallels Desktop on one of the normal user accounts on your Mac [but while installing Parallels Desktop you would have entered the admin password for completing the installation] then you have created a Windows 10 virtual machine with a local user account where you are facing issues installing Kaspersky. As Windows 10 already comes with a Windows Defender as a default antivirus software you can use it. If you still wish to install Kaspersky, you need to create an admin account in Windows then login to normal user account right-click on the Kaspersky setup and select Run as Administrator to execute the installation.

Thanks, you have been very helpful. As I have only one windows program that I need to run, I'll stick with Defender for now.
