Paste into Linux Guest

Do you want to paste text or any other type of data? Please note that clipboard synchronization works in text mode only.

Hmm. The default seems to be mapping CMD-V into CTRL-V (along with a whole bunch of others). The "Summary of Parallels Tools" page in the online help says that clipboard sync (along with drag-and-drop, coherence, and a couple of others) are supported only on Windows. Is there some secret way to enable clipboard sync in a Linux guest?

Failing that, is it at least on the to-do list for a future version?

Linux console clipboard workaround

Its 2012 and there is still no clipboard support with Linux console. Would be great if this could be supported soon.

In the meantime, a workaround.

Open your Macs local shell, and ssh to your running Linux VM. You'll be able to use the Macs local console to copy and paste between apps.

usage: ssh <hostname or ip of vm> -l username
