I work with 2 monitors on full screen mode. When being on the second external monitor, I can see the menubar and can access the auto-hidden Dock on mouse over (which I like), and see the dock on Expose (pressing F3) When being on my first monitor, I have neither (which I totally do not like), no menubar, no mouse over, no dock on Expose Conclusion: I would like to have the option to make this kind of behavior consistent on 2 monitors (options because some people surely would like to have the other way around). I am also referring to this post, which is similar in nature: http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=99868 And to which I have to remark that the window mode is TOTALLY a no-go for me. I want full screen for multiple additional reasons.
Multiple Monitors and Parallels Desktop 5.0 Bernhard, I replied to the thread you mentioned http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=99868 Which may have addressed this question. I use a second monitor every day, keeping my 15" MBP with just Snow Leopard and push my XW/Windows 7 environment to the external monitor in full screen mode. I can access my dock on the Mac and the taskbar in Windows, and it's like having two full screen independent computers, except that have all the integration goodies like drag/drop., copy/paste, shared apps, etc. Thoughts? -David
Thank you, David, for your reply. I detailed this in the other thread (http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=99868). I would need to add here that I have a VMs on each monitor and that this is how the incongruence arises: I click on my second monitor/second VM and I have the menubar available at a glance (and the dock on mouse over) and I would like to see the same while being on my first VM on my first monitor. Again, arguing for OSX compliancy and fully fluent workflow.
