PD14 - Client Snapshot does not finish

    Hi,

    I do have a PD14 installation running at OS X 10.13.
    A Win7 VM was performing a snapshot - but it seems PD hung during (or after?) the process.

    parallels.log says (last rows):

    Anything, I can do?
    Today's snapshot does not show up at "snapshots.xml" yet...

    @dirk, If you are keeping for taking a snapshot for longtime make sure that you have sufficient space available on your Mac. Once you discard the snapshot it will commit all the data from newly created .hds to original .hds. Also, could you check the size of the .pvm bundle?

    There should be enough space on disk for the .hdd files.
    One has about 150GB, the other 20GB - and there are 2TB of empty space on disk...
    The Bundle has 172GB.

    Ther should be only one snapshot on this VM - and the system tries to create the second one now...

    After rebooting the Mac, I was able to start this VM - but today, I've got the same problem again. This time it stucks at 92%...

    If there any antivirus/firewall protection enabled on the Mac, please disable it while taking a Snapshot. Also, if there is any Time Machine backup running, please stop the backup process while the Snapshot is being created.

    There is NO AV-software running on the Mac...
    And TimeMachine is also not running yet.

    BUT since it is not predictable, WHEN a snapshot would be taken, it seems unpractical to disable TM...

    The problem still exists.
    It doesn't matter, if I activate the snapshoot manually or, if it's done automaticly...

    I can access the VM after this only, if I restart my Mac...

    Is there a way, to delete ALL the snapshot-informations from a VM?
    I do found, that a different VM, which is used only a few times a year, has no problems with its snapshots.
    But this happens with the VM, I'm using the most...

    I'm still having the problem, that the snapshot of my Win 7 VM will hang at 95%.
    The Win 10 VM spapshots run through.

    Parallels is V 14.1.3 (45485) now...

    No error. The Number just stays at 95...
    Is there a log, where I might find some additional information?

    There is enough space.
    The VM is about 210 GB - there are about 1.7 TB left on this disk.
    It's an external (Thunderbolt) Disk.
    The internal SSD has about 500GB left free...

    I forced the error by generating a snapshot manually.
    It's difficult to say, WHEN the error occurs, because I don't know, at which point of displaying "95%" it happens...

    The ID is 306772030

    BTW - the process creating this report differs from the one described at the KB...

    Hope you can provide my a solution.
