PD16: Can't reduce disk size upon vm creation

Hello,

I'm trying to create a Catalina guest on PD16/Big Sur 11.3. The suggested HD size is 256Gb, and can't be reduced. I also tried the workaround - delete the HD and create a new one with desired size, but this "solution" lead to another issue: can't boot from .ISO nor .DMG to install OS. Any suggestions?
